CoolSculpting Elite is the latest edition of CoolSculpting, an established US FDA cleared treatment which is the #1 non-surgical fat reduction treatment around the world
Coolsculpting Elite was launched in the US in January 2021, Singapore in April 2023, and is expected to be launched in Malaysia in the first quarter of 2024.
Coolsculpting Elite employs a technology known as Cryolipolysis which was developed by renowned Harvard University scientists. Cryolipolysis uses freezing temperatures to break down fat cells.
Fat cells are found to be more susceptible to cold temperatures compared to other cells. This means that the cooling with Coolsculpting Elite is able to target fat cells while sparing other cells, such as the skin or underlying tissue, which remain unharmed.
The treated fat cells undergo a natural cell death process called apoptosis, and are then eliminated from the body.
Dual applicators
As an innovation to Coolsculpting, Coolsculpting Elite is now equipped with 2 applicators on each machine instead of just one previously. This enables treatment of 2 separate body areas simultaneously, shortening treatment time down to half.
18% larger area treated
With Coolsculpting treatment, you can expect up to 20-27% fat reduction on each of the treated areas.
Coolsculpting Elite treats even more fat tissues by virtue of a redesigned contour handpiece that allows for improved contact with the treated area. Purportedly, the new applicator has been shown to be able to treat up to 18% larger surface area compared to the previous applicator.

Since the introduction of Coolsculpting 10 years ago, there have been reported cases of approximately 1 in 4,000 Coolsculpting treatment cycles resulting in Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia (PAH), a rare condition in which a treated area hardens and expands.
With the new CoolSculpting Elite, there is less compression on the treated areas thanks to shallower and wider applicators. Tissue compression is suspected to have reduced blood circulation and consequently affect oxygen delivery to the treated fat, contributing to the probability of PAH.
By reducing the compression of tissues, we can anticipate a further reduction in the risk of PAH. Since its launch, the new CoolSculpting Elite system has not yet been reported to result in any occurrences of PAH.
CoolSculpting Elite also features Freeze Detect® and CoolControl™ temperature sensors that monitor tissue during treatment. These technologies enable a reliable and consistent cooling thus preventing injuries to surrounding tissues.

The Coolsculpting Elite practitioner will first delineate the treatment area using templates to ensure accurate treatment. Gel pads will then be placed on the intended treatment areas to protect your skin during treatment. During placement of the applicator, you will experience a gentle suction followed by a cooling sensation.
Once the treatment starts, the treatment area will start to numb. You are free to use your phone, read a book, watch movies on iPad or even eat and drink during the treatment.
CoolSculpting Elite will produce optimal results three months after treatment. You may need additional treatment in certain areas to achieve satisfactory results. The fat cells that are eliminated will be gone permanently.
